GPS based speed limiter ? Not in the US for the 2009 GT-R

According to this Motor Trend article about Mines, the US R35 GT-R's are not supposed to get a GPS based speed limiter.

"More good news: For all the GT-R's stunning performance, it's hard to understand why any enthusiast in Japan would purchase a GT-R given all the restrictions and headaches. We seem to be in the clear, though; our sources at Nissan USA have told us no such GPS-based speed limiters will be placed on U.S.-spec GT-Rs, though it's unclear where we stand with the rest of the limitations."

Still working everything out on the cars, not everything is finalized on what we will get in the US as a car.

is it still limited to 111 in the states and there is just no turning it off at a track?

The current thought is that there will be no limiter in the US.
