On 8/18/13 at the IDRC DSM/EVO/GT-R Shootout at Summit Motorsports Park John Shepard went 8.28 @172mph in his personal R35 GT-R. Not the fastest R35 in the world but an amazing feat nonetheless considering his car has full interior, was driven to the track, and the pass was done on DOT approved tires.
