2012 Nissan GT-R Information from LA Auto Show : Black Edition for the US

The 2012 Nissan GT-R is getting ready to make its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show at 11:25am PST.  Most of the information about the updated car has been revealed to the public.  A few of the things that are up in the air are the final pricing, and actual availability date for the North American market.

Now entering its fourth year of availability in the North American market, the 2012 Nissan GT-R has a new look, new colors, new wheel design and, most important to fans of pure power, 35 more horsepower under the hood. In addition, a new “Black Edition” – with unique seat design, interior colors and wheels – joins the GT-R Premium model. The starting MSRPs for the 2012 Nissan GT-R are $89,950 USD and $95,100 USD for the Premium and Black Edition respectively.

Expect 530 hp, a new blue color, improved aerodynamics.  0-60 times in the high 2's to low 3 second range. Quarter mile times should be in the low to mid 11 second range.

Also available for the 2012 model, something not previously offered in the US, but offered in Japan, a backup camera.

Nissan is also going to be bringing the "Black Edition" to the US for the first time.  The Black Edition includes red interior trimmings, 6 spoke Ray's wheels, and a black headliner .
