Nissan GT-R Upgrade Packages

Many companies offer their , one stop, one set of upgrade packages for the R35 Nissan GT-R. Let's explore some of the packages being offered by tuning companies.   The R35 GT-R is a new platform, new engine, new transmission, and it takes time, and refinement to get things all working correctly. When you are increasing horsepower 50%-100% it puts a strain on every system in the vehicle.  Depending on how you use the vehicle you should look at what is out there and make some decisions on what your goals are.  Key to putting more power down, are other modifications to the braking, tires, suspension, and driver.  Making power is the easy part.

AMS

AMS are well known for their efforts with the Mitsubishi Evolution in the US. They have built a 1100 whp, 8 second Evolution VIII . They campaigned a EVO VIII and more recently an Evo X in Time Attacks. More recently they have taken on the R35 GT-R, and are undertaking a 1000whp R35 build. 

2008 turned out to be the best season to date for AMS. With 40 victories, 8 track and class records and 5 championship wins in Road Racing and Hill Climb AMS won almost every event they entered. These included winning Magazine events such as the Sport Compact Car Ultimate Street Car Challenge, Import Tuner’s STI vs. EVO Shootout and Mitsubishi’s Baddest Evolution Challenge.

AMS also competed in the Castrol Top Shop Challenge where 7 of the industry’s top tuners were invited to see who could make the most horse power on 100 octane fuel. AMS won this event making 1035 HP against some stiff competition including a Nissan RB25, a stroked SR20 and even a Twin Turbo Small Block Chevy!

Boost Logic

Boost Logic is proud to introduce the new GTR640 package for the flagship model Nissan GTR. This upgrade kit picks up where the factory left off, pushing Nissans premier supercar up to 640 horsepower on nothing more than 93 octane pump gas; and a potent 690 horses on a mixture of race gas and pump! All while retaining the brawny, luxury feel the GTR is known for.
These fantastic numbers are achieved by first replacing the stock Nissan exhaust with custom, handcrafted 3 stainless steel down pipes and mid pipe. The OEM intercooler piping is then replaced with gorgeous polished aluminum and accented with the addition of dual re-circulated SSQ blow off valves. These increases are regulated through the addition of an EVC 6 Boost controller and upgraded turbo actuators; and the car is finished off with a Cobb accessport tuning utility and pre-programmed tunes for regular, 93-octane pump gas.
These upgrades enabled our test car to run an astounding 11-second quarter mile on the drag strip, and then comfortably cruise home from the track.
